Recent Harvests

Few SunGold Cherry Tomatoes, Eggplants and Baby Carrots. I dumped all the remaining 2 year old carrots seeds into a pot and most of them germinated, crowding the pot and many didn't get enough room to grow. But its fun to see what these teeny tiny seeds can grow into.

I have been getting enough sweet basil for pesto regularly and few cherry tomatoes to munch. One and only potato harvest...

Eggplants are the best this year, I got 3 big ones last week. We haven't got the frost and I have small to medium sized ridge gourds on the vine which I am planning to get tomorrow so that they won't get affected by nighttime 30s which are expected this week. Harvests from last 2 weeks

They are same old same old....this year I should say stars of the garden are Cucumbers and Eggplants. For the growing area and length of the growing period we have, everything is doing great.

Harvested on Saturday - Aug 13th

A cucumber is missing which we shared it with our neighbor. We have been picking sungold cherry tomatoes almost daily (missing from picture). These tomatoes are like instant treat for my toddler. I made a mistake of picking those 2 eggplants early as I thought they were little prince variety, these would have grown bigger.

Harvests from last week...

First Cherry Tomato - Sungold

Cucumbers started coming in...

This is the first cucumber of the season and we finished it just few minutes. It was crunchy and just perfect and fresh. So far only cucumber plants are fairing well with lot of blossoms (I wish every flower gets us an cucumber) and some cucumbers setting.
