Here is what we got lot of lettuce, sugar snap peas, shelling peas, beets, radish, tomatoes, cucumbers. Except for radishes everything is going very well.

Recent Harvests

Few SunGold Cherry Tomatoes, Eggplants and Baby Carrots. I dumped all the remaining 2 year old carrots seeds into a pot and most of them germinated, crowding the pot and many didn't get enough room to grow. But its fun to see what these teeny tiny seeds can grow into.

Here is the list - Romaine Lettuce, pickling cukes, swiss chard, zucchinni, tomatoes, scallions, eggplant, beans, peppers, nectarines, zinnia, celosia. I simply love celosia, I did grow them long time back and now I feel I should have taken out sometime in spring to get some containers. Here is link to what I did before. We are getting overloaded with lettuce this year. We do enjoy salads but used to eat more spring mix than lettuce. I am not complaining but are enjoying fresh Lettuce:)

I have been getting enough sweet basil for pesto regularly and few cherry tomatoes to munch. One and only potato harvest...

Aug 1st - Bounty Basket

We got Sweet Basil, Salad Onions, Scallions, Garlic, Romaine, Romano Beans, Arugula, Baby Spinach, Cucumbers, Zucchini and Blueberries (missing from picture) this week for CSA share. Plan is to make Basil Pesto, Arugula Pesto and may try zucchini bread.

July 25 - Bounty Basket and more...

This year we signed up for CSA at a local farm and picked up my first half share and a flower share. I was surprised to see all the goodness in the basket. Hiding inside are freshly picked Eggplant, corn, Beans, Lettuce, Daikon along with Anise, Onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini. One good thing I felt about this is, I am trying some vegatables which I never bought before and now onus is on us to finish up everything before we get more next week :). Flowers can brighten anyones day...

Its July already?

Things seem to be slower this year and tomato plants are growing very slowly (could be the lack of fertilizer which I am postposning to add). Herbs are doing good...
