Pleasant Surprise

This is a real surprise, after the last bloom has gone for this hyacinth (you could see the older one too in the picture), I left this container in basement. Today when I went down I see that it bloomed again.

Note: Not sure if these forced flowers qualify for my harvest for the day, but this is all I have growing and in bloom today :). Please check more harvests for the day @ Daphne’s Dandelions

The bulbs I chose turned out to be a red tulips, the flowers are beautiful and colorful...

Squirrels & Tulips

Its spring time and Tulips have come and almost gone, they are beautiful and indeed a treat for eyes. This is the first time last fall I have planted a lot of bulbs and they have come out great except that I noticed some of the bulbs have been eaten away by squirrels. Looks like squirrels like them :). Next time need to take some precautions.

Spring Indoors...

With the tulips indoors, it feels as though the spring has already arrived. Bulb forcing was a wonderful journey to see these tulips grow from bulb to fully grown flowers and I wanted to share the same here.
