Earthworms in my old pots

I wonder how they got into my old used pots which had potting mix from last year. They look so healthy and big. I always thought potting mixes had nutrients but don't come with earthworms to enrich the soil.

Mothers Day cake and Flowers

 This was an Almond Cake with no flour baked by my husband and daughters for Mother's day. This was way delicious and very very tasty...Peonies are buds in the pic but they are in full bloom and beautiful now!!!

Mint from last year is growing back. 

Seedlings - 2012

Started few plants from seed and they are now taking off and few of them are having true leaves. If they all do well I have tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, Sweet Basil, parsley. Cherry tomatoes are with true leaves. Parsley is going through some damping, lost 2 and fingers crossed for 2 more..may need a weak dose chamomile tea.

 

 

Lilacs are back in the backyard

Last 3 years we were heavily pruning these shrubs to make them contained and not grow allover and this year we got to enjoy some lilacs. The scent is magical and I wish they have longer life.

Another visit to Boston Garden

Last weekend was gorgeous and finally we went on a swan boat ride in the garden. Tulips were in full bloom and Garden was full of people.

Here come these pots from basement to have some fresh air after dormancy...I am not hopeful that oregano can make it this time. But others look good.

Healthy burden

I know Wheat Grass is good for health, but when it comes to growing, how come it seems like a burden?? It is very easy to grow add some seeds to dirt and you get grass, I am not able to keep up the growing part regularly. Need to get energetic to grow something energetic  :)

Frost Casuality

 Its so sad to say bye to Peace Lily. It was so lush and green at one point of time and due to a bit negligence we lost it :(. You can see the past glory here.
