..but... I am not ready this year with other commitments to plant them in ground for the memorial day.  They may need to wait a bit. I am glad except for Tomatoes and Eggplants others will be grown in containers.

Seedling update and some repotting

Last weekend I managed to get some clean up and potting done. I empties few containers with plants which were not thriving. One was jasmine, from last 3 years I only see green growth and no flowers and this year it looked half dead. Other was  Mint. My happiness of seeing growth in the overwintered container didn't last longer and all traces of new growth is gone.

Above containers are with Red Sail Lettuce seeds, baby carrots and Chard.

Repotted Aloe Vera, Sweet Basil, Rosemary and all the seedlings. Seedlings are so cute and getting their true leaves.

 

 

Earthworms in my old pots

I wonder how they got into my old used pots which had potting mix from last year. They look so healthy and big. I always thought potting mixes had nutrients but don't come with earthworms to enrich the soil.

Mothers Day cake and Flowers

 This was an Almond Cake with no flour baked by my husband and daughters for Mother's day. This was way delicious and very very tasty...Peonies are buds in the pic but they are in full bloom and beautiful now!!!
