White Peppermint
We had a great warm weekend for April here, along with enjoying the weather, I got my hands dirty and did some re-potting. We haven't yet passed the frost date and weather is so great. Boston topped off at 87 degrees at 4:28 PM today. This sets a record high temperature for April 26. The previous record was 85 degrees set back in 1872. Here is my white peppermint, I bought this perennial last year and after the growing season, I planted it outside in the yard, it overwintered in snow and started showing signs of growth this spring. I dug it up and did the repotting.

Visit to US Botanical Garden in DC
Stroll around the garden
Vinca minor
I feel the perennials are amazing, every year in winter, seeing all the snow we receive, I get a feeling "Will the plants comeback after winter??" But to their name, all perennials come back beautifully. Here is a picture of "Vinca Minor" an evergreen perennial from my garden.

Chlorophytum
Chlorophytum, aka Spider Plant is a new addition to my houseplants. This has come with some babies on the stalks, which make propagation easy. Trying to propagate it in a smaller pot.
Buds
All bulbs & shrubs are all budding, here is the current scene from the backyard. In picture, Dayliles, Daffodils, Roses and Lilacs buds.

Tulips and Hyacinths
Last fall, planted a lot of Tulip bulbs and they are all coming out. My plan is to add some summer and late summer perennial bulbs around them slowly. I feel once the Tulips blooms are over this area may not look as striking as it will be with Tulips.
Seeds Seeds Seeds
I haven't yet started any seeds indoors expect for some cilantro, most of the plants I am planning to grow can be sowed directly after the frost date with some exceptions, so taking it easy with the indoor seed starting. This year I am planning on concentrating on container gardening, will keep posting my gardening journal.
Sprouting Garlic
We haven't yet passed the frost date, earth seems to be still hard, but the Garlic bulbs which I have planted late fall are sprouting.
Spring Time
These are the first blooms in the garden this season, I am not sure about the name of these flowers but they are quite beautiful!
