We had pizzas for dinner, as a pizza base tried the roasted tomato sauce from Annies Kitchen Garden. Experimented personalized pizzas for everyone with whole wheat pizza dough, mozzarella, basil, peppers, brocolli and mushroom toppings.

No Fruit, No Flower
Summer is over and Blueberry and Jasmine are growing but no fruit or no flower :( . I figured that growing one blueberry is no use as there should be atleast 2 for pollination and Jasmine, not sure what is the reason that it is green but with no buds. Still I am happy to say that they look much better now. Click here to see how they looked before summer.
Holy Basil a.k.a Tulasi
One of the many plants I always wanted to grow is Tulasi and this year I started growing holy basil or tulasi from seed. I am glad I have few extras to give away to friends. Tulasi is a sacred plant and worshiped by Hindus. It is used in Ayurveda for its medicinal properties. Its extract can cure common cold, stomach ache, etc. It is believed by Hindus that giving tulasi water for a person on death bed can raise their departing soul to heaven.Oregano coming back
This year I haven't used oregano much all summer. It grew well and purple blooms have come and gone and along with them the whole plant wilted. But luckily from the roots new growth is coming back, I am glad I can overwinter this and get it again next year.
Yellow & Maroon
Mums are planted in the ground before we got a heavy rain. I am hoping they will establish themselves and come back next year too.
