Bite sized treats...

Ponganaalu to enjoy with Chutney
I am not sure if I have mastered the art of making "Gunta Ponganaalu"  but the results of this try were real good and tasty ponganaalu. If you are wondering what are these, they are kind of lentil and rice puffs with onions, green chillis and coriander. These need a special cast iron pan to cook them. They are bite-sized treats..

Those look delicious! We were just on our way to the grocery store and couldn't think what to make for dinner tonight -- thanks for the idea!

Hey Aruna Anonymous :)

Thanks for following the blog. Before I blog about the recipe, thought I can comment it as it is very easy. I used leftover idli batter + onions + green chillis + cilantro + grated bottle gourd (anapakaya). Only key to get good round poganalu is to have the skillet oily to avoid sticking.
